LADIES AUXILIARY
VFW POST 1115

                          PRESIDENT: Marilyn Hinchman, (276) 398-3590
                               CHAPLAIN: Billie Taylor, (276) 728-7327
                                                      Our President

No organization as large or as important as VFW Post 1115 can be entirely successful without a good working Ladies Auxiliary helping to make it as strong as possible, and our Ladies Auxiliary is certainly one of the best in the Department of Virginia.  Our Ladies Auxiliary, some 700 members in all, consists of the wives, widows, mothers, foster mothers, stepmothers, grandmothers, daughters, granddaughters, foster daughters, stepdaughters, sisters, half sisters, foster sisters and stepsisters of persons eligible for membership in the VFW.

The Ladies Auxiliary VFW Post 1115 was established on April 9, 1954, with 40 Charter Members that were related to the men who served our fine Nation at times when it needed their service the most.  Our Ladies Auxiliary members work right alongside the men of the VFW in carrying out many of the community activities and programs which make our united organizations great.  There also are many programs which the Ladies Auxiliary conducts apart from the Post, including visits to area nursing homes and the patriotic art contest, but all their projects are designed with three specific goals in mind:

1 - Support of our Veterans
2 - Showing and Sharing our Love for America
3 - The Betterment of our Community

Our Ladies Auxiliary was proud and honored to have one of our own members serve in the highest office possible in the Department of Virginia when Glendon Webb of Hillsville was State President during the year 1996-97.
